91探花's Workforce Education & Community Engagement Division partners with healthcare employers in the local community on providing Certified Nurse Aide training.

 

 

 

Our Certified Nurse Aide Program meets all requirements for the New York State Certified Nurse Aide Examination. 

This course prepares the student to work in a healthcare facility as a nursing assistant or care partner. Instruction and practice of basic patient care skills required for Certified Nursing Assistants in New York State is provided. 

Students learn to meet the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs of residents and patients. Skills practiced include: assistance with personal care, transfers, ambulation, positioning, communication techniques, measuring vital signs, and intake and output. The student will practice supervised patient care in a clinical setting prior to completion of the program. 

The student must successfully complete all objectives of the course, including exams, laboratory skills performance, and the clinical experience. In order to sit for the New York State Certified Nurse Aide Exam, the student must meet the following requirements: 

  • 90 hours of classroom and lab instruction 
  • 30 hours of clinical experience
  • 120 total hours of CNA Training 

As a part of our corporate partnership with local employers, tuition for this program is covered by employers and the employees are paid for their time attending this training program.

Students attend our Corporate Partnership Certified Nurse Aide Program once hired through the employers listed above.
